Research comprises scholarly reports that enhance knowledge regarding the teaching and learning of music with a special interest toward an international constituency. - 主题范围： AIMS AND SCOPEThe International Journal of Music Education (IJME) is published by the International Society for Music Education (ISME) four times a year; each issue has a special focus: Research (February, August, IJME) Research comprises scholarly reports that enhance knowledge regarding the teaching and learning of music with a special interest toward an international constituency. This may include articles that report results of quantitative or qualitative research studies, summarize bodies of research, present theories, models, or philosophical positions, etc. Submitted articles should include a discussion of implications and applications to music teaching and learning, defined broadly, and be of interest and relevance to the international community. Practice (May, November, IJME) Practice publishes articles relevant to advancing the practice of music teaching and learning at all age levels with issues of direct concern to the classroom or studio, in school and out, private and group instruction. Articles may draw upon methodologies, theories and/or materials developed in educationalpractice that recognize and address a wide range of pedagogical approaches that would interest members from a variety of countries and teaching settings, including activities and song materials to help. English is the official language of ISME, and the IJME will be available in English. Abstracts of English articles will be published in translation in French, German and Spanish. Articles may be submittedand reviewed in English or French, German and Spanish; other languages may be considered with consultation of the Editor. Once accepted for publication, however, the author will be responsible for obtaining a good English translation for publication.
