- 简介:The Journal of Business and Psychology is an international publication offering high quality empirical, theoretical, and conceptual papers designed to advance organizational science and practice. It?s goals are threefold: To serve as an influential outlet for organizational science research with an applied focus To bridge the divide between science and practice To foster increased interdisciplinary connections Although historically the Journal has published impactful scholarship with an I/O psychology focus, it also welcomes work from other behavioral science disciplines including organizational communication, organizational sociology, and public administration. Typical subject matters include, but are not limited to: Mentoring, Socialization, Coaching, Leadership Development, Counterproductive Behavior, Emotions at Work, Withdrawal, Cross-Cultural Issues, Groups, Inclusion, Diversity, Creativity, Job Analysis, Job Design, Job Attitudes, Job Performance, Citizenship Behavior, Judgment and Decision Making, Leadership, Employment Law, Measurement, Motivation , Occupational Health, Stress, Organizational Culture, Climate, Organizational Justice, Organizational Performance, OD, Performance Appraisal, Feedback, Research Methodology, Staffing and Selection, Strategic HR, Training,Work and FamilyRigorous quantitative, qualitative, field-based, and lab-based empirical studies are welcome as are novel and important theory development, synthesis, and conceptual papers. Interdisciplinary scholarship is valued and encouraged. Submitted manuscripts should be well-grounded conceptually and make meaningful contributions to scientific understandings and/or the advancement of science-based practice. Papers will be evaluated on the following criteria: Significance of the article Appropriateness for JBP Appropriateness of literature review Strength of methodology/approach Strength of data analysis (quantitative or qualitative) Conceptual strength Quality of writing Potential impact for practice Potential impact for scientific advancement Every two years one of the following special issues will be published in order to present relevant, up-to-date perspectives: State of the Practice Issue -- Typically written by scientist-practitioners, each peer-reviewed piece would discuss best practices in a designated area of relevance to today?s business world (e.g., Succession Planning; High Potential Identification). In addition, and most important, each piece will discuss the type of research that is needed to inform practice. This will promote science/practice ideals and further support the notion of evidence based management. Interdisciplinary Connections Issue -- Featuring a topic of importance across disciplines, this issue is designed to stimulate thought and boundary spanning for future work. Each article will be written from a particular disciplinary perspective, including methods, literature review, and general thinking in that field.
